Rose Lewis, Co-Founder
I look after the investment side of Collider UK, finding incredible angel investors to join our fund, and am also a dedicated coach to our new startups and alumni.
Starting my career in ad sales – the hardest type! – for a US tech media company in the early days of the first digital revolution, I loved watching how tech was changing everything. I then went on to earn my investment stripes from joining the investment teams at 3i and Creative Capital Fund.
I learnt so much along the way from some incredible mentors, but I still felt the best way to learn was to do it myself. So, I co-founded Collider with my two brilliant co-founders with the mission to invest and support great teams in the marketing and adtech space!
Andy Tait, Co-Founder
At Collider, I primarily work with our corporate partners, ensuring their needs are met and objectives achieved, but am also a dedicated coach to our new startups and alumni, helping them go from startup to scaleup.
Before Collider I worked in senior roles at HMV and Virgin Games, and then co-founded an independent video game business which transformed into one of the UK’s largest virtual reality technology providers. Here, my primary responsibility was business development licensing content and technology. From this, we took this company through a successful IPO on the main London Stock Exchange where I pitched help to secure £60m of funding.
I am the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Collider Netherlands.
Having got involved first as an investor in 2016, I saw the opportunity to open up an Amsterdam office thanks to it being such an attractive city for MadTech startups.
With over 20 years of international marketing and innovation experience with leading brands, my last role was as Global Innovation Manager for HEINEKEN.
In this role I built Open Innovation across functions, developing new business opportunities with external parties. I believe that openness and collaboration are key to accelerate innovation, in any field.
Head of Programme
I have over 6 years’ experience building out and running training programmes for early-stage businesses within the tech sector; helping founders to understand challenges around setting up a business, solving a business need, the importance of building customer relationships and connecting them with mentors and individuals who can really help drive their business idea forward.
My true passion is helping the next generation of tech businesses disrupting legacy industries.
Head of Marketing and Communications
I run marketing and comms at Collider, looking after our marketing strategy, our startup recruitment and the brand itself, but also support our portfolio companies with their growth too.
Having worked with big corporates through to innovative startups, I believe in the power of a brand to create an emotional connection with its customers to drive commercial growth, and love the challenge of using both creative and analytical strategies to do so.
Originally working as a journalist and having built up a number of independent magazines, you'll now spot me mentoring startups at the likes of The Friday Club and FFWD, or nurturing my geeky obsession with fonts.
David Prais, Co-Founder Non Exec
I co-founded Collider as a way to combine early stage startups, big-brand decision makers and funding sources to bring about success for all parties.
After enjoying a stellar career in the PC industry in the 1990’s, I developed my own startup, selling my shares to AOL/Time Warner three years later. Since then, over the last 17 years, I've sat on, or advised, over 200 Boards of Directors.
My enthusiasm for being at the cutting edge of tech has since taken me into the world of cryptocurrency. Currently, I'm chairman, and proudly the oldest man in the room, of Cofound.it, the world’s leading training ground for blockchain teams and professionals.
Rebecca Watson, Financial Controller
As Collider's Financial Controller, I look after every aspect of the numbers to make the business run smoothly, thanks to my great affection for spreadsheets and organising chaos. I was previously Programme Manager at Collider too.
My background is in media where I worked for 12 years in various roles in tech publishing before settling into finance and starting my own business seven years ago. I now enjoy helping startups and more established businesses balance their books and understand how finance and governance for small businesses works.
